Dutch ICT provider Previder has just opened a 2,500 sq m colocation facility Hengelo, located some 150kms east of Amsterdam and only 20km from the German boarder. Previder claim the carrier neutral data centre is the largest in Eastern Holland and also has strong green credentials using free cooling and a green power source. An interesting note from the company is that the facility is located 14m above sea level, a useful reminder that most of the data centres located around the Dutch capital are of course below sea level. The facility is also ISO27001 certified.
