The facility is a standard industrial shed with fit out of data centre space within the envelope of the larger building, with a two storey office building to the front.  The facility is located just north of the city centre.  Northampton itself islocated just off the M1 motorway,  about 70 miles north of London or 50 miles south-east of Birmingham, so well and truly in the Midlands.  As such, this is Node4’s second Midlands based data centre, the other being their first facility in Derby.

The data centre space is being fitted out across four separate halls, the first two of which are ready at launch.
